Pentax K-Mount Lens Reviews

The Pentax brand is renowned for its unique and highly innovative approach to photography. After losing ground to dominant camera manufacturers, Pentax changed hands until they got acquired by Ricoh. This gave them some stability by slowing down their release cycle while concentrating on perfecting their existing DSLR platforms: the K-mount for APS-C and Full-Frame cameras plus the 645-Mount for Medium-Format.

Ricoh now owns a family of lenses built for one of the oldest lens-mounts still alive. The majority of these were developped during the film era, making them compatible with Full-Frame DSLRs. However, most modern Pentax lenses are especially designed for APS-C cameras and provide a substantial advantage in realzing the potential of cropped-sensor DSLRs.
