Moire Hunt with the Pentax K-5 IIs and K-5 II
Pentax K-5 IIs vs Pentax K-5 II
Here are real world samples from the Pentax K-5 II and K-5 IIs. Each row shows a photograph taken with each camera using exactly the same settings. Both cameras were on a tripod and each shot was trigged with the 3s Delayed Remote which performs MLU and disables stabilization. A Pentax DA* 16-50mm F2.8 ED AL (IF) SDM
Pentax DA* 16-50mm F2.8 ED AL (IF) SDM lens was mounted on each camera and set to the same focal-lentgh. Autofocus was performed using the same AF point on each camera which was micro-adjusted prior to the shoot.

It takes a really close look to see the differences between images produced by these cameras. This is expected and the difference should only be visible on rather large prints. The anti-alias filter applies a minuscule amount of softness which gets hidden by lens softness, depth-of-field and even noise-reduction, so quality differences between the K-5 IIs and K-5 II show up mostly under ideal photographic condtions.
