Sony Custom Grid License

Sony just launched a new software extension for a number of mirrorless digital cameras in their lineup, including the leaders of four series: Alpha 1, Alpha 7S III, Alpha 7 IV and Alpha 9 III. This new Custom Grid Line License extends the three generic framing guidelines available on these cameras with four custom grids that can be imported.

Sony is tackling one of the most common challenges for professional content creators: The ability to maintain consistent framing when capturing series of images. The new Custom Grid Line license will give photographers the ability to see extra markings of their own creation to help frame subjects consistently.

The license upgrade, built for volume photography and video production professionals, lets creators import up to four original grid lines. These can be displayed on the EVF, rear LCD monitor or even on an external monitor via HDMI, to ensure consistent results during long shooting sessions.

The Custom Grid License is available now directly from Sony in the United States and Canada for Alpha 1, Alpha 7S III, Alpha 7 IV, Alpha 9 III, and other mirrorless camera bodies.
