These models that exist just below the flagship cameras of their respective lineup deliver among the best value around by a combination of ultra-high performance and affordable price. A truly significant leap is delivered by the Fujifilm GFX 50S II. This 50 megapixels Medium-Format Mirrorless Digital Camera keeps every feature of its predecessor yet manages to squeeze in a 5-axis image-stabilization system with 6½ of efficiency! Looking identical to its predecessor, the excellent Fujifilm X-T30 reviewed here, is now superseded by the new Fujifilm X-T30 II. This new intermediate-level X-mount APS-C mirrorless camera maintains the entire feature-set of the original X-T30 while introducing a number of impressive updates.

A more powerful processor in the Fujifilm X-T30 II makes it capable of recording Full 1080p HD video at 240 FPS which is twice the frame-rate as the original! This can be sustained for 3 mins, while the 120 FPS mode reaches 6 mins. The camera is also capable of recording Cinema 4K at 30 FPS and Cinema 2K at 60 FPS. Increased memory gives the X-T30 II a slightly longer maximum-burst depth.

Several new features were also added in this second-generation camera. Average metering is now available. It can also capture HDR images with over 800% more dynamic-range. A new higher resolution 1.6 megapixels LCD was also added for good measure.

Expect to see the Fujifilm XT-30 II in late October for $800 USD. Canadian availability has not been announced yet but Adorama and B&H Photo all ship internationally.
