The Sigma S 300-600mm F/4 DG OS is a medium telephoto to super telephoto zoom designed for cameras with a Full-Frame sensor. This constant-aperture zoom covers a 300 to 600mm focal-range. An optical Image Stabilization System built into this lens compensates for of up to 5.5-stopsMeasured according the the CIPA Standard. of camera shake.
This 2X zoom lens focuses down to 280cm from the imaging plane, capturing subject with a maximum 0.16X magnification. The lens supports autofocus and features a switch to disengage AF for focusing manually. A built-in focus motor is used to set the focus-distance. It allowed Sigma to optimize the motor precisely for this lens in order to maximize performance.
The lens weighs 3.985kg. Its body is weatherproof against adverse weather such as rain and snow. Seals in key areas prevent entry of water and dust.
This version of the lens has a Sony E mount. It directly attaches and is fully compatible with all Sony E mount cameras with Full-Frame or smaller sensors. Sigma also makes this lens for Leica L mount.
