Lens Description

The Sigma 18-50mm F2.8 EX DC Macro is a wide to short telephoto zoom designed for cameras with a APS-C (1.5X) sensor. This bright constant-aperture zoom covers a 18mm to 50mm focal-range. It provides the same field of view as a 27-75mm lens on a Full-Frame camera.

This zoom can focus down to 28cm from the imaging plane which gives it a maximum magnification of 0.33X. The lens supports autofocus and features a switch to disengage AF for focusing manually. A built-in focus motor is used to set the focus-distance. It allowed Sigma to optimize the motor precisely for this lens in order to maximize performance.

This version has a Sigma S lens mount. Follow this link for all current compatible digital cameras: Sigma S mount cameras. Sigma also made this lens available for Canon EF, Pentax K, Four-Thirds, Sony A mounts.
