MindShift Gear Prepares Rotation 180° Panorama Backpack

MindShift Gear - makers of specialized outdoor camera bags - are preparing a new addition to their family of backpacks. The Rotation 180° Panorama is the world's first rotating day-pack. This one is designed of hikers to be lighter while being more rugged than the Rotation 360° Professional.

The Rotation 180° Panorama features a rotating compartment than allows access to photo gear without removing the backpack. This is achieved by a sliding belt system which also serves to secure and hold the bag against the wearer. The compartment moves back into the backpack to get out of the way which is essential for hiking where freedom of movement is critical.

This lightweight bag weighs under 1.5kg and offers room for camera gear, including two tripod carrying options, plus more outdoor equipment which includes a 3L hydration pack pocket. This camera bag is made of durable water resistant fabric which its underside coated with polyurethane of extra weather-resistance. It features metal sturdy YKK zippers and comfortable padded shoulder straps.

The Rotation 180° Panorama measures 9.8" x 19.7" x 8.3" (25 x 50 x 21cm) outside with the rotating compartment measuring 9.8" x 8.2" x 5.1" (25 x 21 x 13cm). Inside the compartment is space for camera gear with interior dimensions of 9.8" x 7.5" x 4.7". The total volume of the packpack is 26L which makes it capable for a day's use without being overly bulky.

The Rotation 180° Panorama is scheduled to be available in January 2014 directly from the MindShift Gear website for $199 USD.
