Neocamera just reviewed the Fuji X100S. This rangefinder-style digital camera is the flagship fixed-lens camera from Fuji and features a unique X-Trans II CMOS sensor with 16 megapixels and on-sensor Phase-Detect autofocus. This is paired with a 23mm Fujinon lens with a bright F/2 maximum aperture and leaf-shutter for ultra-fast sync. As one would expect from such a premium camera, the Fuji X100S has full manual-controls, including manual-focus and plenty of dials to control everything.
The X100S incorporates a number of unique features such as a hybrid viewfinder which can automatically switch between an OVF with LCD overlay and an EVF with a class-leading 2.4 megapixels. There is also a 2.8" LCD with 460K pixels at the back. To help with manual-focus, which is actually quite easy using the EVF, this digital camera offers 3 types of MF-assist, including a unique digital split-screen which renders data from the Phase-Detect sensors.
