Digital Camera Description

The Pentax Optio X70 is a Large Digital Camera with a 1/2.3" sensor. Its 12 Megapixels CCD sensor offers an ISO 50-1600 sensitivity range which is expandable to ISO 50-1600. With 12 MP of resolution, sharp prints are possible up to at 240 DPI.

A builtin Image Stabilization mechanism allows the Pentax Optio X70 to compensate for camera shake.

This camera features a mechanic shutter that can expose for 1/4000 to 4s. Bulb exposures of an unspecified duration are possible with this camera. With a fastest shutter-speed of 1/4000, fast action can easily be frozen. Given that is does not support very slow shutter-speeds, this camera is unsuitable for night photography. This camera model offers Full Manual Controls.

Pentax Optio X70

The Pentax Optio X70 features a Contrast-Detect AF system. Autofocus can continuously adjust according to subject distance. A Real-Time Autofocus Tracking System allows focus to follow a moving subject within the frame. Manual Focus is also available.

Although this camera offers full manual controls, it does not have any control-dials to change exposure parameters directly. This camera does not feature any seals to protect it against adverse weather, dust and moisture. Care must be taken, just like with most electronics. Framing on the Pentax Optio X70 is performed via a 0.20" Built-in EVF with 200K Pixels. This EVF shows 100% coverage.
