Digital Camera Description

The Pentax Q is a Mirrorless Digital Camera with a 1/2.3" sensor and a Pentax Q lens mount. Its 12 Megapixels CMOS sensor offers an ISO 125-6400 sensitivity range which is expandable to ISO 125-6400. This makes it possible to shoot hand-held in relatively low-light. With 12 MP of resolution, sharp prints are possible up to at 240 DPI.

A builtin 2-Axis Image Stabilization mechanism allows the Pentax Q to compensate for camera shake with any mounted lens.

This camera features a hybrid shutter that can expose for 1/8000 to 30s. Bulb exposures of an unspecified duration are possible with this camera. With a fastest shutter-speed of 1/8000, fast action can easily be frozen. Night photography is possible using this digital camera due to its long exposure capability.

Pentax Q

The Pentax Q features a 25-point Contrast-Detect AF system. Autofocus can continuously adjust according to subject distance. Manual Focus is also available.

This camera does not feature any seals to protect it against adverse weather, dust and moisture. Care must be taken, just like with most electronics. There is no viewfinder on the Pentax Q and no provision to add one.
