Think Tank Launches Backlight Sprint Backpacks
News
2024.01.16
Yesterday, Think Tank introduced a new addition to their collection of backpacks for outdoor photographers. The new BackLight Sprint is a slim, lightweight backpack designed for carrying over long distances, whether it is hiking or navigating the urban jungle. The profile of these new camera bags make them more comfortable than typical trekking backpacks and is also advantageous when moving in crowded locations.
The Think Tank BackLight Sprint keeps its primary content secure thanks to its back-panel access where it closes against the back of its wearer. This allows it to offer a very wide opening with easy access to all items in the main compartment. It easily fits a Full-Frame DSLR or Mirrorless Digital Camera, plus several lenses. One attached and 2-5 additional lenses can be stored inside the bag. Adjustable foam dividers allows photographers to customize the interior according to the size of their gear.
A front pocket can store 2L of additional items. Stretch pockets on both sides of the bag can handle a 32oz bottle each. One can also use one of these pockets and a strap above each to secure a compact tripod. These side-straps are also designed to compress the backpack so that items remain in their place. An extra top zipper pocket can hold a phone and other small items, keeping in mind that this one is accessible to others while the backpack is being worn.
This backpack is made of the same durable materials as other Think Tank camera bags: High-density nylon, airmesh and YKK RC Fuse zippers. Its back and straps are highly padded for comfort. Even the waist-belt is padded with a large buckle to help it remain flat. Extra loops on the shoulder-straps are available to attach small carrying pouches for quick access.
This back is fairly compact and can quality as a personal item on most airlines. It is fairly lightweight too which increases the possibility of filling it without exceeding weight allowance, again depending on restrictions of the particular airline.
