Today Sony unveiled their longest G Master lens for Full-Frame Mirrorless Digital Cameras yet. Similarly specified one on of their Alpha mount lenses, the new prime lens offers razor-think bokeh with utmost image quality.
The Sony FE 135mm F/1.8 GM lens is the newest optics for Sony's full-frame mirrorless platform based on their E-mount. This prime lens offers a 135mm focal-length which gives an 18° viewing-angle on a full-frame camera, although it can also be mounted on an APS-C model. The new lens has a F/1.8 maximum aperture with 11 blades that renders soft bokeh and strong background blur.
As part of their G Master series, the FE 135mm F/1.8 GM is built for optical excellent into a weatherproof body with an entirely internal dual linear motor focusing system. This prime offers a direct aperture ring with optional declick feature, plus a wide focus ring and focus-hold button. The lens is threaded to accept 82mm at the front.
Sony expects to ship the FE 135mm F/1.8 GM by May for $1900 USD.
