Olympus OM-D E-M1 Review Published

Olympus has been pushing the limits of mirrorless cameras with each new flagship model and their latest, the OM-D E-M1, is no exception. They tookk everything of the highly-acclaimed and ground-breaking Olympus OM-D E-M5 reviewed here and put it all in a new freezeproof and still fully weather-sealed body with a spectacular 2.4 EVF having 0.74X magnification and, of course, 100% coverage.

The current flagship Olympus OM-D E-M1 is designed to bridge the Micro Four-Thirds and full-size Four-Thirds lineup by bringing built-in Phase-Detect AF on a revised 16 megapixels CMOS sensor with no anti-alias filter. Together with Olympus' weather-sealed Four-Thirds-to-Micro Four-Thirds, the OM-D E-M1 can focus legacy lenses they way they were intended and still remain fully weather-sealed.

The just reviewed Olympus OM-D E-M1 is still without a doubt a mirrorless camera. Even with its deep hand-grip, it remains compact and considerable less bulky than a comparable DSLR when using Micro Four-Thirds lenses which are plentiful and quite versatile.
