Nikon Coolpix A Review Published

The all-new Nikon Coolpix A was just reviewed at Neocamera. This is Nikon's first premium compact with a sensor that is the same size as ones used by the majority of DSLRs. Its 16 megapixels APS-C sensor is anti-alias filter-free, just like the D7100 and D800E, in order to maximize the details. The sensor is paired with an 18.5mm F/2.8 Nikkor prime lens, equivalent to 28mm, giving it a fixed wide-angle view.

As a premium model, the Nikon Coolpix A offers a complete set of manual-controls with plenty of external controls to operate them, including dual control-dials, a fly-by-wire manual focus-ring and a traditional mode-dial. This camera has a sensitivity range from ISO 100 to 25600, making it the most pocketable camera for low-light photography. It can also capture full 1080p HD video.
