The unique waterproof, freezeproof and shockproof Nikon 1 AW1 just got its full-review published. The huge novelty is that is the only such camera with a large sensor and interchangeable lens. It brings serious underwater photography to a new level of affordability.

The AW1 is part of Nikon's 1-system of mirrorless cameras, keeps the same 2.7X crop lens-mount while supporting unique lenses that make the whole thing waterproof and rugged. It uses the same 14 megapixels 1" CMOS sensor with Phase-Detect AF and an all-electronic shutter capable of 1/16000s and full-resolution 60 FPS continuous shooting.
