New Nikon Z Portrait Lens

Expanding the lineup of lenses for their new Z platform, Nikon officially launched the Nikkor Z 85mm F/1.8S last month. This bright portrait lens gives a classic focal-length for flattering portraits with a relatively bright aperture to isolate subjects from the background.
This bright prime lens is now the longest native lens for the Z-platform of Full-Frame Mirrorless Digital Cameras. The new Z 85mm F/1.8S is part of the S-series of high-end optics to deliver maximum image sharpness. Providing a 9-blade aperture for smooth bokeh and wide focus-ring for precise manual focus, in addition to an ultra-quiet AF system.
Although a high-end optic, optimization for the Z-mount mirrorless platform allowed Nikon to make this lens incredibly light at 470g while still managing to be weather-sealed. This new lens is scheduled to be available next month for $800 USD or $1120 CAD. B&H Photo is already accepting pre-orders.
