Megadap just launched a second-generation Sony E to Nikon Z adapter. This model supercedes the original ETZ11 that appeared as one of the slimmest lens-mount adapter on the market. While hundreds of adapters are available to bridge between a DSLR and mirrorless mount that different significantly in flange-distance, bridging between 2 mirrorless mounts requires miniaturization.

The new Megadap ETZ21 physically and electronically connects a lens made for Sony E-mount onto a Nikon Z Mirrorless Digital Camera. It works for both Full-Frame and APS-C lenses, directly letting the flow of light without additional optics that would affect image-quality. The ETZ21 is generic for the mount and is said to support most Sony E lenses from Sony, Tamron, Zeiss, Sigma and Samyang.

This adapter is the first mirrorless-to-mirrorless adapter supporting IBIS through carefully crafted firmware that links Nikon and Sony protocols. Any Nikon Focus-Point or Area selection mode can be used, including subject-detection. The ETZ21 broadcasts EXIF information except for lens brand to identify focal-length and aperture to the camera body.

Megadap includes a USB connector for users to upgrade the adapter firmware effortlessly. This mount-adapter measures just 2mm thin yet is built sturdily to maintain optical precision and infinite focus. Megadap will make the ETZ21 available shorty for a suggested retail price of $250 USD.
