Hasselblad Almost Doubles Mirrorless Lens Lineup

Starting Photokina 2018, veteran camera maker Hasselblad who were first out with a mirrorless Medium Format system just expanded their lineup of XCD mirrorless lenses with 3 new additions

Hasselblad XCD 65mm F/2.8 Lens

The XCD 65mm F/2.8 is a lightweight normal lens for Medium Format. It provides a relatively bright aperture and, as all lenses for the XCD mount, a built-in leaf-shutter that can synchronize to 1/2000s. It uses a standard 67mm filter-size and weights 727g.

Hasselblad XCD 80mm F/1.9 Lens

The XCD 80mm F/1.9 is the brightest lens Hasselblad ever made. Its F/1.9 aperture being quite uncommon for Medium Format and roughly equivalent to a F/1.5 on full-frame when comparing depth-of-field. Remarkably for a bright lens such as this, it weighs just over 1kg. The front element even supports a standard 77mm filter.

Hasselblad XCD 135mm F/2.8 Lens

The longest lens in the lineup is now the XCD 135mm F/2.8 which is a short telephoto lens with moderately bright aperture. Hasselblad managed to keep it relatively manageable, weighing less than 1kg and using a standard 77mm filter-thread.
