The Sony FE 28-70mm F/3.5-5.6 OSS II is a wide to normal zoom designed for cameras with a Full-Frame sensor. This variable-aperture zoom covers a 28 to 70mm focal-range. An optical Image Stabilization System built into this lens compensates for camera shake.
This 3X zoom lens focuses down to 30cm from the imaging plane, capturing subject with a maximum 0.19X magnification. The lens can focus automtically with the Focus-Drive selected by the camera. A built-in focus motor is used to set the focus-distance. It allowed Sony to optimize the motor precisely for this lens in order to maximize performance.
The lens weighs 293g. Its body is weatherproof against adverse weather such as rain and snow. Seals in key areas prevent entry of water and dust.
This lens is only available for the Sony E mount. It directly attaches and is fully compatible with all Sony E mount cameras with Full-Frame or smaller sensors.
