Lens Description

The Leica SL APO-Summicron 50mm F/2 ASPH is a normal prime designed for cameras with a Full-Frame sensor. This bright prime has a 50mm focal-length.

This prime can focus down to 35cm from the imaging plane which gives it a maximum magnification of 0.2X. The lens offers a Quick-Shift AF system which lets the user simply rotate the focus-ring to focus manually. A built-in focus motor is used to set the focus-distance. It allowed Leica to optimize the motor precisely for this lens in order to maximize performance.

This lens is only available for Leica L. Follow this link for all current compatible digital cameras: Leica L mount cameras with Full-Frame or smaller sensors.
