Lens Description

The Canon RF 100-500mm F/4.5-7.1L IS USM is a short telephoto to super telephoto zoom designed for cameras with a Full-Frame sensor. This variable-aperture zoom covers a 100mm to 500mm focal-range. An optical Image Stabilization System built into this lens compensates for of up to 5-stopsMeasured according the the CIPA Standard. of camera shake. The body of this lens is weatherproof against adverse weather such as rain and snow. It has sealing to prevent entry of water and dust.

This zoom can focus down to 90cm from the imaging plane which gives it a maximum magnification of 0.33X. The lens offers a Quick-Shift AF system which lets the user simply rotate the focus-ring to focus manually. A built-in focus motor is used to set the focus-distance. It allowed Canon to optimize the motor precisely for this lens in order to maximize performance.
