The Canon EF-S 35mm F/2.8 Macro IS STM is a normal prime designed for cameras with a APS-C (1.6X) sensor. This bright prime has a 35mm focal-length. It provides the same field of view as a 56mm lens on a Full-Frame camera. An optical Image Stabilization System built into this lens compensates for camera shake.
This prime lens focuses down to 13cm from the imaging plane, capturing subject with a maximum 1X magnification. The high manification of the Canon EF-S 35mm F/2.8 Macro IS STM allows it perform true macro photography. The lens offers a Quick-Shift AF system which lets the user simply rotate the focus-ring to focus manually. A built-in focus motor is used to set the focus-distance. It allowed Canon to optimize the motor precisely for this lens in order to maximize performance.
The lens weighs 190g.
This lens is only available for the Canon EF mount. It directly attaches and is fully compatible with all Canon EF mount cameras with APS-C (1.6X) sensors.
