Sony Cybershot DSC-WX220 Digital Camera
Digital Camera Description
The Sony Cybershot DSC-WX220 is a Ultra-Compact Digital Camera with a 1/2.3" sensor. Its 18 Megapixels CMOS sensor offers an ISO 100-12800 sensitivity range which is expandable to ISO 100-12800. This makes it possible to shoot hand-held in relatively low-light. With 18 MP of resolution, sharp prints are possible up to 20" x 15" at 240 DPI.
A builtin Image Stabilization mechanism allows the Sony Cybershot DSC-WX220 to compensate for camera shake.
This camera features a mechanic shutter that can expose for 1/1600 to 1s. With a fastest shutter-speed of 1/1600, fast action cannot be frozen. Given that is does not support very slow shutter-speeds, this camera is unsuitable for night photography.
The Sony Cybershot DSC-WX220 features a Contrast-Detect AF system.
This camera does not feature any seals to protect it against adverse weather, dust and moisture. Care must be taken, just like with most electronics. There is no viewfinder on the Sony Cybershot DSC-WX220 and no provision to add one.
