The Sony Cybershot DSC-HX5 is a Compact Digital Camera with a 1/2.3" sensor. Its 10 Megapixels CMOS sensor offers an ISO 125-3200 sensitivity range which is expandable to ISO 125-3200. With 10 MP of resolution, sharp prints are possible up to 15" x 11" at 240 DPI.
A builtin Image Stabilization mechanism allows the Sony Cybershot DSC-HX5 to compensate for camera shake.
This camera features a mechanic shutter that can expose for 1/1600 to 30s. With a fastest shutter-speed of 1/1600, fast action cannot be frozen. Night photography is possible using this digital camera due to its long exposure capability. This camera model offers Full Manual Controls.
The Sony Cybershot DSC-HX5 features a 9-point Contrast-Detect AF system. Manual Focus is also available.
Although this camera offers full manual controls, it does not have any control-dials to change exposure parameters directly. This camera does not feature any seals to protect it against adverse weather, dust and moisture. Care must be taken, just like with most electronics. There is no viewfinder on the Sony Cybershot DSC-HX5 and no provision to add one.
