The Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZS100 is a Compact Digital Camera with a 1" sensor. Its 20 Megapixels CMOS sensor offers an ISO 125-12800 sensitivity range which is expandable to ISO 125-12800. This makes it possible to shoot hand-held in relatively low-light. With 20 MP of resolution, sharp prints are possible up to 23" x 15" at 240 DPI.
A builtin Image Stabilization mechanism allows the Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZS100 to compensate for camera shake.
This camera features a hybrid shutter that can expose for 1/16000 to 1m. This camera can make Bulb exposures up to 2m. With a fastest shutter-speed of 1/16000, fast action can easily be frozen. Night photography is possible using this digital camera due to its long exposure capability. This camera model offers Full Manual Controls.
The Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZS100 features a 49-point Contrast-Detect AF system. Autofocus can continuously adjust according to subject distance. Manual Focus is also available.
Dual controls-dials offer direct access to most exposure parameters which makes this digital camera suitable for advanced photographers. This camera does not feature any seals to protect it against adverse weather, dust and moisture. Care must be taken, just like with most electronics. Framing on the Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZS100 is performed via a 0.20" Built-in EVF with 120K Pixels. This small EVF has 0.46X magnification and shows 100% coverage.
