Indoor Crops

These crops show the ISO performance of the 16 megapixels Panasonic Lumix DMC-G7 next to the Fujifilm X-T10
Fujifilm X-T10
which has a larger APS-C sensor. Both these mid-range mirrorless offer a built-in EVF with Eye-Start sensor yet are not weather-sealed.

All images below are 100% crops from their respective camera taken at the highest image quality JPEG setting available. ISO, aperture and white-balance were set on camera. Other settings were left at their default values. These crops help determine which ISO settings is acceptable on these cameras. When noise increases, most cameras compensate with noise reduction which introduces softness. The point at which a print becomes too noisy is a matter of personal taste.

Same resolution yet larger sensor for the Fuji gives it a clear an consistent 2-stop lead above the Panasonic. The X-T10 does not use an anti-alias filter which also lets it extract more sharpness from any given lens. On the other hand, lenses for the G7 can be made smaller which gives it an advantage when it comes to total bulk.
