Digital Camera Description

The Olympus Stylus 9000 is a Compact Digital Camera with a 1/2.3" sensor. Its 12 Megapixels CCD sensor offers an ISO 64-1600 sensitivity range which is expandable to ISO 64-1600. With 12 MP of resolution, sharp prints are possible up to at 240 DPI.

A builtin Image Stabilization mechanism allows the Olympus Stylus 9000 to compensate for camera shake.

This camera features a mechanic shutter that can expose for 1/2000 to 4s. With a fastest shutter-speed of 1/2000, fast action can easily be frozen. Given that is does not support very slow shutter-speeds, this camera is unsuitable for night photography.

Olympus Stylus 9000

The Olympus Stylus 9000 features a Contrast-Detect AF system.

This camera does not feature any seals to protect it against adverse weather, dust and moisture. Care must be taken, just like with most electronics. There is no viewfinder on the Olympus Stylus 9000 and no provision to add one.
