Digital Camera Description

The Olympus Stylus 1s is a Medium Digital Camera with a 1/1.7" sensor. Its 12 Megapixels CMOS sensor offers an ISO 100-12800 sensitivity range which is expandable to ISO 100-12800. This makes it possible to shoot hand-held in relatively low-light. With 12 MP of resolution, sharp prints are possible up to at 240 DPI.

A builtin Image Stabilization mechanism allows the Olympus Stylus 1s to compensate for camera shake.

This camera features a mechanic shutter that can expose for 1/2000 to 1m. This camera can make Bulb exposures up to 30m. With a fastest shutter-speed of 1/2000, fast action can easily be frozen. Night photography is possible using this digital camera due to its long exposure capability. This camera model offers Full Manual Controls.

Olympus Stylus 1s

The Olympus Stylus 1s features a 35-point Contrast-Detect AF system. Autofocus can continuously adjust according to subject distance. A Real-Time Autofocus Tracking System allows focus to follow a moving subject within the frame. Manual Focus is also available.

Dual controls-dials offer direct access to most exposure parameters which makes this digital camera suitable for advanced photographers. This camera does not feature any seals to protect it against adverse weather, dust and moisture. Care must be taken, just like with most electronics. Framing on the Olympus Stylus 1s is performed via a 0.44" Built-in EVF with 1.4 Megapixels. This medium EVF has 0.58X magnification and shows 100% coverage.
