Digital Camera Description

The Nikon Coolpix S9400 is a Compact Digital Camera with a 1/2.3" sensor. Its 18 Megapixels CMOS sensor offers an ISO 125-1600 sensitivity range which is expandable to ISO 125-3200. With 18 MP of resolution, sharp prints are possible up to at 240 DPI.

A builtin Image Stabilization mechanism allows the Nikon Coolpix S9400 to compensate for camera shake.

This camera features a mechanic shutter that can expose for 1/1500 to 1s. With a fastest shutter-speed of 1/1500, fast action cannot be frozen. Given that is does not support very slow shutter-speeds, this camera is unsuitable for night photography.

Nikon Coolpix S9400

The Nikon Coolpix S9400 features a 99-point Contrast-Detect AF system. Autofocus can continuously adjust according to subject distance. A Real-Time Autofocus Tracking System allows focus to follow a moving subject within the frame.

This camera does not feature any seals to protect it against adverse weather, dust and moisture. Care must be taken, just like with most electronics. There is no viewfinder on the Nikon Coolpix S9400 and no provision to add one.
