The Kodak Easyshare Z990 is a Large Digital Camera with a 1/2.3" sensor. Its 12 Megapixels CMOS sensor offers an ISO 125-6400 sensitivity range which is expandable to ISO 125-6400. This makes it possible to shoot hand-held in relatively low-light. With 12 MP of resolution, sharp prints are possible up to 17" x 12" at 240 DPI.
A builtin Image Stabilization mechanism allows the Kodak Easyshare Z990 to compensate for camera shake.
This camera features a mechanic shutter that can expose for 1/2000 to 16s. With a fastest shutter-speed of 1/2000, fast action can easily be frozen. Night photography is possible using this digital camera due to its long exposure capability. This camera model offers Full Manual Controls.
The Kodak Easyshare Z990 features a 25-point Contrast-Detect AF system. Manual Focus is also available.
Although this camera offers full manual controls, it does not have any control-dials to change exposure parameters directly. This camera does not feature any seals to protect it against adverse weather, dust and moisture. Care must be taken, just like with most electronics. Framing on the Kodak Easyshare Z990 is performed via a Built-in EVF.
