The Fujifilm X100V is a truly impressive compact digital camera that combined one of the best APS-C sensors ever with a highly optimized 23mm F/2 prime lens.
The 26 MP X-Trans CMOS 4 that appears in Fujifilm APS-C mirrorless digital cameras produces superb images with very low noise, class-leading dynamic-range, nice color and sharp detail.
While the camera is highly responsive and offers an ultra-fast continuous drive, its autofocus system is less consistent than ideal. In good light, it is really fast but it slows down with the lens stopped down in low-light.
The hybrid viewfinder is very clever but it is the 3.7 MP EVF mode which is truly superb. It is very sharp and assists manual-focus in one of three ways. Precise focus is also helped in the OVF with the a unique Digital Range-Finder mode that overlays a tiny portion of the EVF.
Photographers who are comfortable with a fixed F/2 23mm lens would be highly pleased with the Fujifilm X100V. While the AF slows down in low-light, MF is quick and direct when needed. The all-in-one body and excellent quality of this camera is sure to make it last under capable hands.
