Digital Camera Description

The Canon Powershot SX20 IS is a Large Digital Camera with a 1/2.3" sensor. Its 12 Megapixels CCD sensor offers an ISO 80-1600 sensitivity range which is expandable to ISO 80-1600. With 12 MP of resolution, sharp prints are possible up to at 240 DPI.

A builtin Image Stabilization mechanism allows the Canon Powershot SX20 IS to compensate for camera shake.

This camera features a mechanic shutter that can expose for 1/3200 to 15s. With a fastest shutter-speed of 1/3200, fast action can easily be frozen. Night photography is possible using this digital camera due to its long exposure capability. This camera model offers Full Manual Controls.

Canon Powershot SX20 IS

The Canon Powershot SX20 IS features a Contrast-Detect AF system. Manual Focus is also available.

Although this camera offers full manual controls, it does not have any control-dials to change exposure parameters directly. This camera does not feature any seals to protect it against adverse weather, dust and moisture. Care must be taken, just like with most electronics. Framing on the Canon Powershot SX20 IS is performed via a 0.40" Built-in EVF with 240K Pixels. This EVF shows 100% coverage.
