Lens Description

The Sony Alpha 18-135mm F/3.5-5.6 SAM is a wide to medium telephoto zoom designed for cameras with APS-C (1.5X) sensors. This variable-aperture zoom covers a 18mm to 135mm focal range. It provides the same field of view as a 27mm to 202.5mm lens on a Full-Frame camera.

This zoom is capable of focusing down to 45cm from the imaging plane which gives it a maximum magnification of 0.27X. The lens offers a Quick-Shift AF system which lets the user simply rotate the focus-ring to focus manually. A built-in focus motor is used to set the focus-distance. It allowed Sony to optimize the motor precisely for this lens in order to maximize performance.

This lens is only available for Sony A. Follow this link to see all current compatible digital cameras: Sony A mount cameras with APS-C (1.5X) or larger sensor.
