The Pentax Optio A10 delivered impressive image quality for an ultra-compact digital camera with low image-noise, great color, accurate exposure, surprising image sharpness and very good exposure. On the downsides, the A10 showed quite sluggish performance and poor battery life. Finally, even though its LCD is large and very sharp, it reflects too much light outdoors and blanks completely during continuous shooting. This makes the A10 difficult to use in many situations since this digital camera does not have an optical viewfinder.

Since the Pentax A10 showed this many defects, it unfortunately could not be redeemed by its high quality images. For a better ultra-compact camera, look at the excellent Fuji Finepix F10, the Canon Powershot SD550 or the Sony Cybershot DSC-P200.
