The Fuji Finepix E510 is a good compact camera which produces nice looking pictures with accurate colors outdoors and in well-lit environments. Under low-light, it has trouble focusing and its LCD is diffcult to see. This, combined with its maximum shutter-speed of 2 seconds, makes it unsuitable
for low-light photography. Besides its poor low-light performance, the E510 is a bit short on manual features compared to the Canon A-series of cameras.

For these reasons, neocamera recommends the Canon A95 (or the lower resolution Canon A520 and Canon A510) over the E510, at the expense of the 28mm wide-angle lens and the superior LCD display. Another option for better manual controls and a wide-angle lens would be the more expensive 7 megapixel Canon S70.
