Results from the Fuji Finepix F20 are very impressive for an ultra-compact. This, added with this digital camera's low price, make it the best valued ultra-compact currently available. In fact, the only ultra-compact digital cameras to perform better are its more advanced siblings, the Fuji Finepix F30 and F31fd. Both of these feature a higher maximum ISO of 3200, long shutter-speeds up to 15 seconds, semi-automatic exposure and much longer battery life.

Like most ultra-compact cameras, the Fuji F20 is a strictly point-and-shoot model. The great thing about this digital camera is that is consistently produces high-quality images, which is the most important thing for a point-and-shoot camera.

We already mentioned the Fuji F30 and F31fd which can produce even higher-quality images. Other interesting ultra-compact cameras include the significantly more expensive Canon Powershot SD800 IS which offers a wide-angle zoom and image stabilization. This somewhat compensates for higher image noise at all ISO settings compared to the F20, but not for moving subjects. The SD800 IS also has more advanced features like shutter-speeds up to 15 seconds and an unlimited 2 FPS continuous drive.
