Lens Description

The Panasonic Leica DG 12mm F/1.4 ASPH is an ultra-wide prime designed for cameras with Four-Thirds (2X) sensors. This ultra-bright prime has a 12mm focal-length. It provides the same field of view as a 24mm lens on a Full-Frame camera. The body of this lens is weatherproof against adverse weather such as rain and snow. It has sealing to prevent entry of water and dust.

This prime is capable of focusing down to 20cm from the imaging plane which gives it a maximum magnification of 0.1X. The lens supports autofocus and features a switch to disengage AF for focusing manually. A built-in focus motor is used to set the focus-distance. It allowed Panasonic to optimize the motor precisely for this lens in order to maximize performance.

This lens is only available for Micro Four-Thirds. Follow this link to see all current compatible digital cameras: Micro Four-Thirds mount cameras with Four-Thirds (2X) or larger sensor.
