It is clear that Sony has been improving its T-series of ultra-compact digital cameras, but so has every other manufacturer. Unfortunately, these improvements are not enough to make the Sony Cybershot DSC-T30 catch up with the competition. While fast and responsive, photo quality of the T30 is plagued with problems such as chromatic aberrations, vignetting, corner softness and optical distortion.

 

Finally, the current street price of the T30 means that you can get the much better Fuji Finepix F10 for less. This leaves no reason to get the T30. The Canon Powershot SD550 and SD500 are also much better candidates than the Sony Cybershot T9.
