The Panasonic FX9 is one of the only ultra-compact cameras featuring optical image stabilization. This allows the camera to use slower shutter speeds rather than higher sensitivities which produce high image noise, particularly in cameras with tiny lenses. Overall, the images of the FX9 are quite nice and well-suited for small prints where image softness won't be noticeable. While this is a good ultra-compact cameras, the similary priced Fuji F10 is definetely superior to it. Another better ultra-compact camera to consider is the Canon Powershot SD500.
