This camera distinguishes itself as having the highest image sharpness of 8 megapixel fixed lens cameras at the time of its introduction. Its image quality is very good with quite low noise levels. Currently, only the Konica-Minolta Dimage A2, Konica-Minolta Dimage A200 and the 9 megapixel Fuji Finepix S9000 have lower noise levels among high-resolution prosumer digital cameras. The Olympus C8080 is also fast in operation, well built and shows spectacular battery life. Its major fault is its interface which has frustrated many photographers (See the review by Luminous-Landscape, to name just one). Otherwise, this camera does not have many faults. See the cameras already mentioned above, they are the C8080's worthwhile competition.
