The Nikon Coolpix 8800 has very impressive specifications. Among prosumer cameras, it has the longest stabilized zoom, top image resolution and the second highest resolution movie mode. Noise levels are generally a problem with 8 megapixel cameras but the 8800 has a bit more than average. Its other major problem is lack of speed. The Nikon 8800 proves to be good prosumer camera which stands out from the competition, mainly due ti uts stabilized lens. Better 8 megapixel prosumer cameras include: the Konica-Minolta A2, the Konica-Minolta A200 and the Olympus C8080 WZ, although all of these have less zoom.
