The Konica-Minolta Maxxum 5D is one of the best DSLR cameras and offers tremendous value for its price. This camera is so good that we had to look hard to find any negative comments on it.
Most notably its images are sharp with highly accurate colors and show very low noise. The anti-shake system is a great addition to this camera since it stabilizes any lens at no additional cost. The 5D is as full-features as most higher-priced DSLR cameras.

Compared to the Konica-Minolta 7D, the 5D diminishes on the number of external controls, replacing some by a second menu system. The problem with a dual menu system is remembering which option are in which menu. The 5D also shoots less images continously than the 7D but is still very respectable. Other changes include a lower-resolution LCD and a smaller viewfinder. The Konica-Minolta Maxxum 5D actually improved on two things over the 7D: it allows magnifcation of RAW images in playback mode and it starts up much faster.
