Assessment
The Casio Exilim EX-Z120 is an impressive ultra-compact camera, particularly for its unparalleled feature set: full-manual controls, custom-white-balance, RGB histogram, AA batteries and 7 megapixel sensor in a 1" thich metal body. This is quite an advanced feature set for an ultra-compact camera. At 7 megapixels, the Z120 unfortunately doesn't have the image quality of the best ultra-compact cameras, but none of those cameras have full manual-controls or are powered by AA batteries. All in all, the Z120 is a great choice among ultra-compact digital cameras. Those seeking better image quality and manual-controls, must look at the Casio Exilim EX-Z750, which unfortunately doesn't use AA batteries. Even better image quality, at the expense of manual-controls and the use of AA batteries, can be had from the Fuji Finepix F10.
