The Olympus Stylus 7010 is an ultra-compact with a 7X wide-angle optical zoom lens, built-in stabilization and a 12 megapixels sensor. Image quality has both good and less good aspects, falling just short of a good Rating. In terms of speed though, this digital camera does well. It has interesting panorama modes but is low on features.
This makes the Stylus 7010 target casual snapshots in mostly good light, perhaps family outings and the like when portability is more important than flexibility. Above average speed makes it well suited for this.
There are very few ultra-compacts with such long wide-angle zoom and the 7010 is the smallest of them. If you want to pocket a long zoom and do not print large then an Olympus Stylus 7010 is work considering. The Nikon Coolpix S640 has a shorter zoom but is the closest in terms of features.
