Lens Description

The Tamron Di II AF 55-200 F4-5.6 is a short telephoto to medium telephoto zoom designed for cameras with a APS-C (1.5X) sensor. This variable-aperture zoom covers a 55mm to 200mm focal-range. It provides the same field of view as a 82.5-300mm lens on a Full-Frame camera.

This zoom can focus down to 95cm from the imaging plane which gives it a maximum magnification of 0.28X. The lens supports autofocus and features a switch to disengage AF for focusing manually. While this lens is capable of AF, it does not have a built-in focus motor. It can only focus with a compatible camera body which features a mechanical AF-coupling.

This lens has a Sony A mount. It directly attaches and is fully compatible with all Sony A mount cameras with APS-C (1.5X) sensors. Tamron also makes this lens for Canon EF and Nikon F mounts.
