Lens Description

The Sony E 16mm F/2.8 is a wide prime designed for cameras with a APS-C (1.5X) sensor. This bright prime has a 16mm focal-length. It provides the same field of view as a 24mm lens on a Full-Frame camera.

This prime can focus down to 24cm from the imaging plane which gives it a maximum magnification of 0.073X. The lens offers a Quick-Shift AF system which lets the user simply rotate the focus-ring to focus manually. A built-in focus motor is used to set the focus-distance. It allowed Sony to optimize the motor precisely for this lens in order to maximize performance.

This lens is only available for Sony E. It directly attaches and is fully compatible with all Sony E mount cameras with APS-C (1.5X) sensors.
