Lens Description

The Sigma 8-16mm F4.5-5.6 DC HSM is an ultra-wide to wide zoom designed for cameras with a APS-C (1.5X) sensor. This variable-aperture zoom covers a 8mm to 16mm focal-range. It provides the same field of view as a 12-24mm lens on a Full-Frame camera.

This zoom can focus down to 24cm from the imaging plane which gives it a maximum magnification of 0.12X. The lens offers a Quick-Shift AF system which lets the user simply rotate the focus-ring to focus manually. A Super-Sonic motor inside the lens delivers very fast and relatively quiet AF.

This lens has a Nikon F mount. It directly attaches and is fully compatible with all Nikon F mount cameras with APS-C (1.5X) sensors. Sigma also makes this lens for Canon EF, Pentax K, Sony A and Sigma S mounts.
