The Sigma 50mm F2.8 EX DG Macro is a normal prime designed for cameras with a Full-Frame sensor. This bright prime has a 50mm focal-length.
This prime lens focuses down to 19cm from the imaging plane, capturing subject with a maximum 1X magnification. The high manification of the Sigma 50mm F2.8 EX DG Macro allows it perform true macro photography. The lens supports autofocus and features a switch to disengage AF for focusing manually. While this lens is capable of AF, it does not have a built-in focus motor. It can only focus with a compatible camera body which features a mechanical AF-coupling.
The lens weighs 320g.
This version of the lens has a Sigma S mount. It directly attaches and is fully compatible with all Sigma S mount cameras with Full-Frame or smaller sensors. Sigma also makes this lens for Canon EF, Nikon F, Pentax K and Sony A mounts.
